4. FTP Software to upload your website and single files onto your webspace.

5. Search Engine Submission and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Software to let search engines and web directories such as Google or Yahoo know about your website and get it listed in their index as high as possible. Your website will be useless if you are the only visitor to it.

So these are the essential tools you need. WOW!

 # 3. Web Editing Software

When you chose your web editing software you need to be wise. You may want to stick with it for years, once you've started to use the software of your choice. You will have to take some money off your pockets for it, as there is no recommendable free web editing software available till date. But don't worry. It does not cost an arm and a leg and it's a one time investment.

Most people are still using the web editing software dinosaurs Frontpage or Dreamweaver. Don't get us wrong. Both are very powerful web editing solutions. Especially Dreamweaver has been very popular upon web designers for years.

We also used it until a little over a year ago. Until... until xSitePro was dropped to the market. We tested it and - wow - immediately switched over.

Advanced users may not like this too much but for beginners it can be the ideal solution. Either way, it is very powerful and fast as well and we also clearly give it our recommendation.

FTP stands for "File Transfer Protocol" and is used to upload files or entire websites onto a web server. This sounds complicated but really is as simple as 1,2,3.

Now, most advanced web editing software such as xSitePro have their own automated FTP tool already built in, so you do not need to take care.

Your website will be totally useless if you cannot drive any visitors to it. Therefore it is absolutely essential that you not only optimize your web pages for the search engines, but also submit them to them, so that they can send their little robots to spider your pages and get them indexed.

Search engine optimization and search engine submission is a chapter on itself and we will surely cover it in more depth in future editions of our newsletter.

But today we make a long story short here!

Out of several SEO tools around there are really only two that get our total support. One is free of charge (at least in it's basic version), the other one costs something below $200...

So why the hell do we not only recommend the free one, if it still is a recommendable one?

Because of Pepsi and Coca-Cola...!
